I am the Suicide Prevention Peer Specialist for Eastern Washington and your WDVA. I received my undergraduate degree in Humanities from Whitworth University in 2021. In 2023, I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, specializing in Adult Mental Health and Wellness with an emphasis on Military Populations. My advocacy efforts and interests include engaging in the research and development of holistic mental health and wellness programs as an upstream solution for suicide prevention efforts in the veteran community. I served in the Marine Corps from 2011 – 2016, with one tour of duty in Afghanistan. I am personally and professionally committed to suicide prevention efforts because of my own lived experiences and the loss of friends and fellow service members to suicide.
