The Heroes Silkies Walk is a call to action: one that strives to connect veterans and their families while building strong community relationships. I am walking in response to that call.
I am currently an Associate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Veteran Suicide Prevention Peer Support Specialist. I am also a United States Marine Corps veteran and am fully dedicated to serving the military community. There was a point in time where the traumas I experienced during service nearly consumed me. I have since found the strength to share my story, find my community, and heal.
Military service does not have to end in tragedy. I urge you to answer the call, be part of the change, find the Strength to Rise, and join us for the 2024 Silkies Walk!
